How to upgrade firmware on a RISE 1/2/3/4 cameras (4220, 4260, 4290)

Minimum recommended network speed for upgrade:

• RISE 1 package 50,774 KB * 8 bits / 300 (seconds) = 1.354 Mbps
• RISE 2 FW 92,940 KB * 8 bits / 300 (seconds) = 2.4784 Mbps

How to tell the difference between Rise 1, 2 ,3 Series

1. Ensure you sync the camera time to the local PC or NTP server.
   • From the camera webpage click Date and Time.
2. Reboot the camera prior to performing any firmware update.
3. Refer to the article on how to obtain firmware files for COHU products Where can I find the latest CostarHD Product software (firmware)?: 
4. Unzip the file(s).
5. From the webpage, go to System > Service > Upgrade Camera.
   
   
   
   
6. Select the file(s) and click upgrade. You may need to browse "all files".
   • RISE 1 you must upload the core package and then the rise package for each revision (3.x, 4.x, 5.x).
     The upgrade path is below.
     • Core Package v3.x.x>Rise Package> 3.x.x
     • Core Package v4.1.92 > Rise Package v4.1.323
     • Core Package v5.4 > Rise Package v5.4
     • Note: v5.2 is the highest update for the 4290 Series 
   • RISE 2 there is only 1 package. The upgrade path is below.
     • v1.42.5876 > v1.61.7845>1.70.8010
   • RISE 3 there is only 1 package. The upgrade path is below.

     • 2.0.2229 > 2.11.2806 > 2.20.3151

   • RISE 4 there is only 1 package. The upgrade path is below.
     • 4.00.426 > 4.01.576
