Costar Utility: How to update firmware on Rise Series cameras

Environment:

• Rise Series 
  • Note: For RISE 1 you must upload the core package and then the rise package.
• Costar Utility Software Download 

Procedure:

1. Open Costar Utility and log in.
2. Wait for Costar Utility to scan the network and find the Rise camera.
3. Select the camera that you will be updating. For example, we select a Rise2 series.
   
   
   
4. Right-click the Rise camera and Select Firmware > Select File.
   Note: Confirm firmware file shows a tar extension Example:(RiseFirmwareV2.20.3151.tar)
   
   
   
5. Select the firmware located on your PC, then click Open.
   
   
   
6. Click Yes to confirm the upgrade.
   
   
   
7. The progress field will show a 1/7 file transfer.
   
   
   
8. Once the update is completed a rebooting status will be seen.
